Happiness is a journey, not a destination,” is a slogan I truly believe in. Coupled with my life motto, “Always be a blessing, not a burden,” this belief drives me to be the best version of myself every day. My ever-growing passion for athletic development and fitness has fueled my 22-year career as a fitness professional. I have had the opportunity to work across various areas and levels of health and fitness, from physical therapy in a hospital setting to elite training facilities with professional athletes.
A foundational element of my success is my desire to serve others. In December 2006, I began working in the field of Social Services at a homeless shelter, serving the treatment-resistant chronically homeless population. During this time, I created multiple programs for different agencies and municipalities. In 2015, my agency received the Homeless Service Provider of the Year award from United Way for implementing a supportive services system for the homeless and mentally ill population, which was adopted by the City of Phoenix Police, Prosecutors Office, and Human Services Department.
Every day is an opportunity to be better than yesterday, and I strive to provide that platform for everyone. I find the greatest fulfillment in igniting the passion within people of all ages to live as the best version of themselves, aiming to spark a lifelong process of personal and professional growth.
In 2017, Endymion Bragg and I founded Fulfillment In Training (F.I.T) to meet the needs of our community. F.I.T is a social justice and equities nonprofit focusing on community and law enforcement relations, criminal and transformative justice reform, health equity through access to health and fitness resources, and economic empowerment through entrepreneurial and career support. Our team, including myself, has invested in training and certifications to best serve our communities, including NASM personal training, restorative and transformative justice, and adverse childhood experiences (ACE).
My personal goal for Fulfillment In Training is to leverage my leadership, innovation, experience, and passion to help individuals achieve a holistic, healthy lifestyle and improve communities for future generations. Our journey and partnership with The Tempe Black Employee Alliance (TBEA) began in 2021, significantly contributing to our success in the city of Tempe. I have been honored to receive several awards, including the Cornerstone, Community Impact, and Service awards.
In July 2021, I started Alliance of Integrity, a municipal strategies consulting firm creating strategies, training, and programs focused on community development, social equity, and transformational outcomes for individuals and families with complex needs. We partner with municipalities, institutions, agencies, and organizations to collaboratively form actionable solutions for sustainable positive outcomes.
In 2021, F.I.T partnered with the Arizona Cardinals as a community impact partner. In 2023, F.I.T became the national social impact partner for Lululemon. In May 2024, I was honored to be named to the City of Tempe's Family Justice Commission.
I believe in the goodness of humanity and am convinced that all wrongs can be corrected. This belief guides my leadership and fuels my dedication to making a positive impact in the world.
